We're Hudson and Lisa! We are the duo married couple that started Kefir Kultures right here in Toronto. We believe that great health starts with what you put into your body. That's why we strive to make kefir with quality, clean, Non-GMO, organic ingredients.
Our journey to health was a bit rocky at times. Demanding jobs didn't leave much time for a work-life balance. As a result burnout, stress, and depression became the 'norm.' We were caught in a downward spiral. But, at the same time, we knew that good nutrition was the first step in healing our bodies and giving us the energy needed to live life to the fullest. So we searched for an answer and discovered kefir. When we experienced the awesome health benefits of kefir, we were hooked. The energy boost, improved mood, and enhanced gut health were just the beginning.
Well, of course, we say yes. After all, we've been fermenting premium kefir since 2014... and we're pretty good at it. Here's why we're so good at what we do.
We have an extensive educational background in microbiology and biochemistry. We then applied our knowledge to the real world by working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility where maintaining sterility and quality was an absolute must. This mix of passion and expertise makes us uniquely qualified to produce our clean, fresh and potent probiotic product.
At the same time, we wanted to reach out not only to the older generations but to the younger one as well. We find that there is a great deal of interest in kefir but hesitant to try. This is where we come in and bridge the gap.
Lastly, one of the biggest findings that drove us even more into producing kefir is the relationship between gut health and mental health. In the near future, we want to start donating a certain amount of our sale to a group that focuses on mental health.
We hope that our story resonated with the community as we truly believe that we can bring something wonderful and unique.
